Message from the President

August 5, 2024

Dear APPA Members,

I am deeply honored to address you for the first time as the President & CEO of APPA. As we move forward together, I am filled with pride and responsibility, knowing the incredible dedication and passion each of you brings to our industry and association.

The strength of APPA lies in its members—professionals committed to advancing educational facilities and ensuring they support the mission of our respective institutions and organizations. Your expertise, innovation, and unwavering commitment have continuously set new standards in our field, and I am eager to build upon this foundation.

As we embark on this new chapter, I want to emphasize three key areas of focus:

  1. Collaboration and Community: We will continue fostering a strong sense of community among our members, encouraging collaboration and sharing best practices. Together, we can overcome challenges and seize opportunities to enhance the quality of our educational facilities.
  1. Professional Development: Investing in our professional growth is crucial. APPA will continue to provide training, certification, and education opportunities, ensuring that we all stay at the forefront of our profession.
  1. Innovation: Our commitment to innovation remains steadfast. We will explore and implement programs that improve our facilities and contribute to the betterment of our campuses and communities.

I am excited to work alongside each of you and to harness the collective expertise to achieve our collective success. Your feedback and participation are invaluable, and I encourage you to share your ideas and perspectives as we strive to make APPA an even more impactful organization. I will attend each APPA regional conference in person this fall and look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you for your continued dedication and support. Together, we will lead APPA into a bright and successful future.

Warm regards,

Lalit Agarwal
