New Look for Job Express
APPA is pleased to announce a new look for our popular job-listing site, Job Express. We have a new logo and a fresh look to the landing page. In addition, Job Express will provide easier navigation for employers, recruiters, and job seekers alike.
APPA’s niche is in educational facilities, so whether you are looking for a job, writing a job description, or looking for the perfect candidate, Job Express will help you find what you need. Job Express is a weekly list of professional facilities management positions currently available at colleges and universities, public and independent K-12s, hospitals, museums, and other agencies and organizations.
Job Express ads are posted every Monday morning, and every Monday afternoon APPA sends a bulletin to more than 17,000 current APPA members working in educational facilities. Check out the new Job Express pages, which includes a link to a new Career & Resource Center.

Subject: Exciting New Initiative Understanding the Value of APPA
Dear APPA members,
The new school year is in full swing for many of you. I wanted to reach out and ask for your help with an exciting initiative that we are undertaking.
APPA is partnering with the higher education research firm Demographic Perspectives to conduct a comprehensive member study to explore the paths, values, goals, opportunities, and challenges that APPA members face as educational facilities professionals. This multi-faceted study includes observational analysis, interviews, listening sessions, and a confidential, member partners survey. We hope you will contribute by completing the survey.
You will be receiving the survey from SurveyMonkey on Tuesday morning, September 27, 2022, with a subject line of “Understanding the Value of APPA.” Each recipient will receive a survey link unique only to them.
Once you complete all the survey sections and click ‘SUBMIT,’ you will be eligible to win one of the following prizes: a Grand Prize of one Academy on Campus – Level 1 for a 20-person cohort (Value: $19,990); two Amazon Gift Cards of $100 each; two American Express Gift Cards of $50 each; and two Visa Gift cards of $25 each.
Why are we doing this study? We feel that developing and implementing a comprehensive study of membership will ensure that APPA is identifying and addressing our most critical organizational issues. Our goals include gathering insights on the value of the organization to our members, members’ workplace challenges, how those challenges can be addressed by participation in APPA, how diversity and inclusion are being addressed, and what resources, including programs, services, and activities from APPA, could best serve our members. We anticipate using the findings from this study to help guide the organization in its efforts to create and maintain a culture that is inclusive of, and welcoming to, an increasingly diverse workforce.
To provide the information needed for change, we need your voice. Please join us on this important effort. I look forward to seeing the results of the study.
Best,
E. Lander Medlin
