H2O DEGREE, a manufacturer of advanced two-way wireless submetering systems for billing, leak detection, utility conservation, and building automation system integration, introduces the L4000 LoRaWAN display. Communicating over H2O Degree’s LoRaWAN open protocol wireless network, the L4000 display provides tenants in submetered multi-family buildings and multi-tenant commercial facilities access to accurate, real-time hot- and cold-water consumption information. The L4000 features a high-definition color touch-screen display. A thick (2mm) tempered glass waterproof (IP65) cover protects its wide viewing angle screen. The L4000 display provides tenants access to water consumption data for their specific unit. This can serve to avoid disputes over water usage. Perhaps more importantly, awareness of this data often affects conservation efforts. For more information on H2O Degree, contact https://www.h2odegree.com/.
LEVITON announced the expansion of the Smart Sensor line with Smart Ceiling Mount Room Controllers (SRC) and Smart Ceiling Mount Sensors (CMS). The line simplifies advanced lighting controls by integrating several control strategies into a self-contained, cost-effective, and easy-to-install device. The solutions streamline installation by requiring just two devices instead of the industry’s standard four for code compliance requirements. Users have additional control and the ability to wirelessly control the sensors with the new Wireless Companion Switch and Wireless Companion Dimmer. The solution is fully configurable with the Smart Sensor App, allowing users to tailor lighting control strategies to meet the intent of any space. New capabilities in the Smart Sensor App include expanded options to finetune sensor settings to meet specific Sequence of Operation (SOO) requirements, scheduling, and multi-room templates for fast room replication. TRANE by Trane Technologies introduced the Thermafit® Air-Source Modular Multi-pipe Model MAS, a heat pump that produces cooling in the summer, heating in the winter, or simultaneous heating and cooling when both are required. The Thermafit Model MAS helps allow facility managers and engineers to eliminate or reduce the need for traditional, fossil fuel boilers and gives owners new solutions to decarbonize buildings through the electrification of heating. Trane has also released an improved Deluxe Sound Package for the Trane® AxiomTM Horizontal and Vertical Water Source Heat Pumps (WSHPs) to help improve occupant comfort and updates and improvements to the Tracer® SC+ Building Automation System (BAS). The new Thermafit Model MAS is an all-in-one, air-source modular multi-pipe heat pump with advanced logic to independently control each module’s mode of operation—cooling, heating, or heat recovery. It responds to varying building loads throughout the day and year, resulting in performance that is 8.2 times more energy efficient than other forms of electric heating. HEMCO details their Softwall Clean Rooms. The Softwall Clean Rooms are designed to meet ISO 5–ISO 8 requirements and feature a flexible design that allows them to locate equipment over and around, with the option of being mobile with casters. The structural framework comprises aircraft anodized aluminum with clear vinyl curtains around the unit. The curtains can be strips or solid, depending on restriction of access in clear or opaque white vinyl. Fan-powered HEPA filters and fluorescent lighting modules, along with blank ceiling tiles, are positioned into a ceiling grid system, and optional entry airlocks can be incorporated into the design. The HEPA filter modules have power cords and speed controls and can operate on 115v or 220v power.
