APPA has joined other educational associations in signing a joint letter to the U.S. Department of Education, requesting a delay in the reporting requirements for the Financial Value Transparency (FVT) and Gainful Employment (GE) rule beyond the newly established February 18, 2025, deadline.
The request for a delay was prompted by the change in administration and the challenges institutions faced in reporting their data by the original January 15, 2025, deadline. The request seeks to extend the deadline to at least July 2025. You can read the entire letter here.
The FVT and GE rule is a set of regulations established by the U.S. Department of Education, requiring colleges to disclose detailed information about the costs, financial aid options, and post-graduation earnings of their programs.
APPA remains committed to advocating for policies that protect and advance the interests of our members and the broader educational community.
