All other benefits normally received of APPA members – to include APPA member discounts on products and services, and subscriptions to APPA’s Facilities Manager magazine, would be included as part of the special membership offer.

Contact Santianna Stewart today to join APPA or complete the attached membership application online!

What Is the APPA/MHEC FPI Survey Partnership?

The 2009-10 FPI Survey is now OPEN! See details below for accessing the survey.

APPA’s annual Facilities Performance Indicators Survey (FPI Survey) is a comprehensive collection of facilities-related operational costs and personnel information, strategic financial measures, and much more. The resulting Facilities Performance Indicators reports are Web-based and include numerous charts, dashboard gauges, a peer review feature, and a searchable database. The report is utilized by participating institutions as a robust benchmarking and cohort comparison tool.

This past spring, APPA (an association providing leadership in educational facilities) and MHEC (the Midwest Higher Education Compact), through a generous grant from the Lumina Foundation for Education, developed an energy benchmarking tool using the components of the existing FPI survey. The result was a scaled-down version of the annual FPI survey.

APPA and MHEC now desire to continue this collaborative effort by establishing a longitudinal study of energy usage over time, while continuing to foster participation among MHEC member institutions to engage in the full Facilities Performance Indicators (FPI) survey every year.

The 2009-10 FPI Survey Cycle is now OPEN!

To access the survey, please log in to your MyAPPA account page using your APPA ID and password. Once connected to your MyAPPA page, click on the FPI Survey and Report Access link under the MyResearch heading. You will then see a direct link to the 2009-10 FPI Survey.

If you wish to by-pass the MyAPPA landing page, you may log in to the survey directly.

Participation in the FPI Survey is free. Access to the final online FPI report is also at no charge if your institution is an APPA member. As a special offer to MHEC member institutions, APPA is offering a full membership package for $250 until 12/31/10. Any MHEC member institution that is not currently an APPA member is eligible for this offer.
