APPA meets the needs of facilities professionals across a broad range of institutional types. |
Institutional Membership
Institutional membership is open to all colleges and universities that have a facilities department and administrator. One individual will be chosen as the Institutional Representative and serve as the principal contact between APPA and the institution. Dues are based on an institution's full-time equivalent student enrollment and gross institutional expenditures. A designated number of staff members from the facilities department may join as Associate Members for a fee of $221 per person. System officers can join as Institutional Members for a flat fee of $452.

Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
A recent national study of college students determined there is a correlation between the cleanliness of a school’s facilities and students’ academic achievement. Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the study was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
