APPA meets the needs of facilities professionals across a broad range of institutional types. |
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership is open to any personnel employed by a college or university in a department other than facilities for example, housing or purchasing. This membership is also open to nonprofit institutions or organizations with an interest in facilities management such as school districts, hospitals, churches, military bases, museums, and secondary schools.
Affiliate membership is also open to interested professionals who are not employed by a for-profit organization that would qualifyas a Business Partner.
To allow for greater participation by an organization, you can choose to have more than one representative participate as an Associate Member.
Fees:
- 1 representative or office is $452.
- 3 representatives or offices is $830.
- 5 representatives or offices is $1,302.
Affiliate Members receive:
- Facilities Manager magazine.
- A listing in and a copy of the APPA Membership Directory.
- Discounts on educational programs and publications.
- Eligibility for professional awards.
- Inside APPA - APPA's email newsletter.

Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
A recent national study of college students determined there is a correlation between the cleanliness of a school’s facilities and students’ academic achievement. Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the study was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
