2008-09 INFORMATION & RESEARCH COMMITTEE
Charge: Develop and disseminate data and information relevant to educational facilities management. Activities include the APPA website; research projects including the annual Facilities Performance Indicators Survey and its resulting FPI reports and dashboards, the Strategic Assessment Model (SAM), and the Center for Facilities Research (CFaR). In addition, the committee provides oversight to the books and publications produced by APPA, including Facilities Manager magazine.

Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the national study of college students was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
