APPA is pleased to bring you our International Corner. With countries such as Australia, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, Southern Africa and the United Kingdom proudly representing our organization, we thought it was time they have a presence of their own. We know that our international colleagues face different challenges, but they also confront many that are similar or comparable. Our mission is to provide our international affiliates with vital resources, such as the latest benchmarking information and important regulations. Through this page, we hope APPA members in the US will connect with facilities professionals abroad to discover and address universal issues, and to obtain new insights and ideas as well. We are your resource tool. Take a moment and visit those countries where APPA is currently represented. We can only bring you the tools you need with your help. Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
A recent national study of college students determined there is a correlation between the cleanliness of a school’s facilities and students’ academic achievement. Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the study was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
